Judicial city – Nancy

Public administrationNew buildConstruction economics

The Nancy Judicial City will be built on the site of the former Alstom plant, north-east of the historic centre. The project aims to preserve and showcase the remarkable industrial heritage of the site by reusing the façades and porticoes of the former hall, integrated into an urban composition that brings together the new judicial building, its logistics areas, a public forecourt and a dense landscape grid.

Vegetation, present throughout and reaching into the heart of the building via a vast patio, will help create an image of justice that is serene and welcoming. By gathering on a single site the criminal, civil, social and commercial jurisdictions, the future judicial city will improve both the public reception and the day-to-day functioning of the courts, while contributing to the transformation of a former industrial area into an eco-district.
