Wood’Up

Located in Paris’s 13th arrondissement, along the banks of the Seine, the Wood Up tower provides 132 homes within a 50-metre-high building, complemented by a commercial base and generous shared spaces. Each home benefits from its own outdoor extension, while a 300 m² communal terrace on the eighth floor and a shared rooftop garden encourage collective uses and offer views across Greater Paris.

Wood Up stands out for its low-carbon construction system, combining a concrete base and bracing elements with a primary glulam timber structure. Beech, spruce and Douglas fir sourced from French forests are used according to their structural properties and transported in part by river. The timber structure is deliberately left visible behind a glazed façade, clearly expressing the building’s construction principle. Certified BBCA and Bois de France, the tower explores the potential of timber construction for high-rise collective housing.
