Théâtre du Maillon

The Maillon’s vocation, from its founding, has been to bring theatre out of its walls and the world of the stage out of its sometimes elitist posture. The project includes a 700-seat main hall and a 250-seat hall. A third 60 sqm room will be used for conferences.

The façades of the project, facing the public realm, form the interface through which the history of the Maillon theatre is carried on. The skin is rhythmed by an alternation of solid and void, a structure of coloured concrete and openings onto the city.
